After studying globalisation and culture for my PhD. , I realized that we will face an era of the coming together of humankind into one society. In a theoretical article,  I called this all-inclusive society \u2018The Pananthropoi\u2019 (\u2018All-Humanity\u2019) in analogy with the Pangea (All-Earth), the original super-continent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, this movement towards common humanity will inevitably give rise to opposing tendencies: division and withdrawal into national identities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I chose to make art and film about subject that voice a sense of unity and common humanity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

n is currently producing the feature film \u2018EVA\u2019S MISSION\u2019,<\/em><\/strong> the first feature film about Eva Schloss, one of the last Auschwitz-survivors and stepdaughter to Otto Frank, fighting xenophobia in todays society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018I Kiss The World\u2019 <\/em>is a visual arts multi-media project that visually explores my concept of the \u2018fluidities of identity\u2019 in the global city and is a collaboration with West-End photographer Simon Annand (www.simonannand.com). The photo exhibition premiered in Amsterdam in May 2014 and ran for four month in the Photogallery in the Central Hall of the OBA (Amsterdam Library).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Searching for Mama Salone’s Secret<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2018The Secret of Salone<\/em>\u2019, is a 90min documentary film about the sociology of peaceful religious social integration.  Halfway production.Martha’s documentary Searching for Mama Salone’s Secret <\/em> explores the topic of religious strife in an original way. Set in Sierra Leone, the film is currently in post-production. The film explores the subject of globalization and (religious) identity using methods of visual sociology from the theoretical perspective of the sociology of religion. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

iKISS THE WORLD<\/em> is a sociological visual exploration of national identity in the global city.  An on-going collaboration between actress \/ sociologist Martha Van Der Bly and  photographer Simon Annand, the first iKISS THE WORLD exhibition took place in the Photogallery of the Centraly Library Amsterdam (OBA). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

EVA’S MISSION<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
Martha’s second feature-length documentary E<\/strong>VA’S MISSION is an author-driven sociological documentary exploring the Holocaust from a contemporary perspective. Eva’s Mission<\/em> is supported by a grant of the Amsterdam Art Council (AFK), by Cinecrowd, the Gravin van Byland Foundation and the Foundation Democracy & Media. The University of South Carolina, USA generously supported Eva’s Mission<\/em> with a three-month long Summer Film Residency<\/em>. Eva’s Mission<\/em> was workshopped and developped during Lisbon Docs of the European Documentary Network (EDN). Website: www.evasmission.co<\/a>m<\/p>\n\n\n\n
