After Martha was cast in the play And Then They Came For Me, first as a member of the ‘Hitler Youth’ and then in the lead role of ‘Young Eva’, Auschwitz survivor Eva Schloss – Anne Frank’s posthumous stepsister – became a major part of her life for more than a decade. Martha portrayed Eva on stage, followed her around the world for her film Eva’s Mission and came to know her as a friend. For a decade, she explored with Eva the horrors of the Holocaust, becoming a witness of the witness. In this conversation with Adam Gell for his podcast ‘Inspiring Minds’, Martha reflects on her profoundly transformative journey with Eva, the making of Eva’s Mission, and how we can carry Eva’s torch forward now that she is no longer with us.

ISA selects Martha’s Research Paper for Sociological Essay Film

Martha’s paper on Religious Integration is accepted for presentation at the International Sociological Association (ISA). This marks the first academic presentation of the longitudinal research underpinning her film ‘Searching for Mama Salone’s Secret’.
